Luxembourg were one of the countries who took part in the debut contest held in Dublin. A disappointing result saw them sit out the Prague edition. They came back for the contest in Moscow, but once again, after a disappointing result they sat out the Oslo contest. Returning again for the Stockholm contest they once again suffered a disappointing result, however they stuck with the contest and reaped the rewards with victory in the Manchester contest. Sadly, Luxembourg have slipped back into their old ways and apart from their automatic qualifier in the Tórshavn contest which finished second last, they have not made the final since. This has resulted in them once again withdrawing from the contest held in Bratislava. Luxembourg have been in the Grand Final just twice from 6 appearances.
